The community

This site began as the home of a Grand Theft Auto fan forum that ran for the better part of twenty years. It started here on gta-sa.com in the San Andreas era, and as the community moved on to GTA IV it was renamed gta4play.com — same people, same forum, a new name for a new era.

The old phpBB board isn't running here right now — the backup is safe, and it may come back. In the meantime, the wider GTA community is very much alive:

• GTAForums — the largest and oldest GTA community, with active San Andreas sections.
• r/GTASA and r/GTA on Reddit.
• Rockstar Newswire — official news.
